I know, I know.
I did just go on hiatus back in the May-June timeframe, and I eventually did come back. There was even a need for me to post on social media that I was done with the hiatus since no one really knew when I was at the HONOR 400 5G launch:
Since then, a lot has happened. I suddenly had a lot on my plate again. While I’m grateful to be busy with my day job, the sudden nature of it overwhelmed me. I wouldn’t have time to even check any creator-related emails until almost bedtime. I’m even grateful to be able to write this life update post today.
As of this writing, we’re 8 days away from August. That’s my birth month, and I’ve spent part of the birth month attending one or more launch events in the past few years.
I honestly feel burned out. I’m not doing that this year.
For the month of August, I’ll be taking a break from creating content once again. The times I’ll be doing any form of content creation are the following:
- Fulfilling my commitments prior to the break
- Writing and posting tech reviews
- Sharing random bits and pieces of my time off on the personal social media accounts
I will NOT be entertaining any press releases, collaboration requests, paid gigs, or event invites until the last week of August.
Unlike the last time, I’ll take this content creation break properly. I won’t go off social media though. Saying so would feel like I’m lying to myself, so I’m not gonna bother trying. I almost ended up posting something here about quitting content creation altogether.
THERE IS NO QUITTING HERE.
It is still something I’m passionate about, especially tech. I’m just tired, and I need to go take care of myself properly this time.
